October 2023 Fall Newsletter

Farmers Hall, approximately 15,000 square feet, includes a large multi-use event space, which hosts the Rutland Winter Farmers Market and which can seat 500 individuals and 1,100 individuals standing; a Community Learning Kitchen, available not only for VFFC's Health Care Share and other cooking classes, but also for events which take place in the Hall

  • The Community Learning Kitchen will be available for the preparation of fresh, locally-produced foods, the priority being the education of economically disadvantaged individuals and families in the Northwest Neighborhood and greater Rutland area to the methods of preparing fresh, local food, resulting in healthful meals
  • The Kitchen will be available for cooking and nutrition classes year 'round, as well as for workshops for farmers and community members to address skill specific topics such as cooking, freezing, storing, and preserving produce
  • All equipment is comprised of industry standard appliances and movable stainless steel counters and shelving units that can be arranged by instructors and chefs to create the environment for delivering hands-on classes and commercial rental needs
  • In the future the kitchen will be available for rental

Farmers Hall showcases the Root Words photo installation, a celebration of food and agriculture's role in bringing together community and connecting folks to place.

Additionally, the available tenant space is currently leased with two food-based businesses, as well as several others.
